DIRECTIONS

From the airport, take the 10 minute train ride to Central Station. Once you arrive at Central, take the Railway Square Exit. From Railway Square, head left down Broadway. The big Central Park building (the one covered in plants) should be on your left. Walk for 5-10 minutes, past 3 sets of traffic lights, until you reach City Road on your left hand side. From here, you should see the Lansdowne Hotel just up City Road on your left. The hostel is located above the Lansdowne Hotel, with the entrance around the right hand side, on Knox Street.

Fully renovated in May 2017, The Lansdowne Hotel is the perfect Sydney base for the adventure-seeking young traveller. The hostel is located above the Lansdowne Hotel, an iconic pub and live music venue, with events all week long from trivia, DJ’s and small local acts to international names! The hostel is located below the Lansdowne rooftop bar, the perfect spot to catch a drink nestled among the hustle and bustle of Sydney City. All right at your doorstep!

Just across the road Broadway Shopping Centre, has all your necessities, food, cinemas, shopping and more. Central Station is just a quick 10-minute walk away connecting you to the rest of the city – with buses to the CBD and Darling Harbour, or the train to the beach. If you prefer to walk, China Town, Glebe Foreshore, or Newtown are all short strolls away.

Head out and experience all the buzzing nightlife options nearby or stick around at The Lansdowne and dance the night away to a live band!

  • Standard check-in is at 2PM, although we often have beds ready earlier if an earlier check in time is required. To arrange an earlier check in time, please contact us prior to your arrival. Self check-in is available in our Check-In Kiosk.

    Valid ID and credit card are required to check-in.

  • Check-out is always at 11AM, but guests are welcome to use our amenities for the rest of the day.

  • Although we don’t have parking on-site, we can help you find nearby paid parking options. The Lansdowne is located right in the heart of Sydney close to several safe and secure paid parking spots for your vehicle.

  • All guests will have access to several common spaces throughout their stay.

    • Guest Kitchen - open 24/7. Labels provided for your containers to store food.

    • Rooftop - Common space, with two lounge rooms available with board games and puzzles.

    • Ground Floor - Our ground floor bar is open from Wed-Sat, from 12PM ‘til late.

  • We do not enforce a curfew at The Lansdowne - enter/exit 24/7 via the Goki app.

  • Luggage storage is provided free of charge, open 24/7 via the Goki app and door codes.

  • Linens are provided, free of charge. Each bed has a private locker, although you will need to bring your own lock.

    Breakfast is not included, but we’ll shout you a complimentary drink at the bar!

  • Towels are available for hire for $3 during your stay.

  • Free Wi-Fi is available for use throughout your stay.

  • The Lansdowne operates as a cash-free hotel. All credit and debit cards are accepted.
